Funding for Worker Training & Hiring Tax Credits

Workforce Training Fund Grants

The Workforce Training Fund Program (WTFP) provides grants to help Massachusetts businesses—especially small to mid-sized ones—train current and new employees, boosting productivity and competitiveness. The program offers four types of grants to support skill development and long-term business growth. Find more information here.

Registered Apprenticeship Opportunities and Tax Credit

Opportunities exist for employers to sponsor existing workers and new hires as Registered Apprentices (RAs) in traditional and expansion industries. The MA Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS) oversees this opportunity and MHFHWB helps manage the process for employers.

There is also a possible Massachusetts Registered Apprentice Tax Credit (RATC) available to Employers. Employers may be eligible for up to a $4,800 credit per qualified apprentice.
